Our Annual Flower Fund Appeal
(Page Last Updated 19th June 2024)
As our treasurer (me!) never ceases to remind everyone, all the floral displays are paid for by local residents and businesses - NONE of the money comes from the Council...
An essential part of this process - arguably the MOST essential part - is the delivery by hand of 3000 Appeal envelopes in April / May each year... This is organised by Rosemary Evitts, and involves a team of about a dozen people, each delivering to a group of roads. If we could expand this group, it would reduce the workload per person while possibly allowing us to distribute to additional roads.. If you feel you could help, please contact us by email or phone, so that you can be incorporated into next year's plans...
The costs of planting and watering rise every year, with last year's bill amounting to just over £13,000, so I would please ask everyone to give whatever you can to the appeal, either direct to Rosemary Evitts at the address below or through the collecting boxes at
Sarah C greengrocers, Mogfords or Patco News.
